The Nice Guy’s Guide to Meeting Finnish Women in Helsinki

Helsinki’s Finnish Women

Helsinki has the nicest girls in Europe. Thus it’s a good destination for Nice Guys. When you approach Finnish girls in this city, you’ll notice there is almost zero bitch shield. They respond in a friendly way to cold approaches. Showing reciprocal interest, by e.g. asking you in return with a smile: “Where are you from?”. However, this does not mean that every girl in Helsinki will have sex with you. Being friendly doesn’t mean “down to f#ck”. You still have to play the numbers game, as you do in every other city.

In Helsinki, there are as many brunettes as blonds (didn’t notice redheads though). The girls’ height is intermediate, averaging from 1.65m to 1.7m, thus not as tall as the Dutch girls, nor as short as Peruvian women. Finnish girls often have sweet, innocent, white faces. They stay in shape by going to the sauna, walking a lot, riding bicycles, training and eating clean. Lastly, all of them speak English along with the native Finnish language (which is similar to Estonian and distantly related to Hungarian).

Helsinki Dating

Something else to take note is there are no intermediate stations here on dates. In my experience, in cities like Helsinki and the rest of Scandinavia, if you have a fun date, you go all the way (sex), but if the girl doesn’t love you that much, you’ll go home without a make-out (nor anything else). So, of course, you want to pre-screen and still try to avoid the girls who’d potentially waste your time.

Valuable Helsinki Dating Tip

On a date, let the women pay for herself. Although this may sound slightly misogynistic to some, it’s not. Because there is some cheek, where if the girl doesn’t plan to go home with you, she’d try to get you to pay for her drinks or food. Refuse to pay. Make sure you tell the waiter or bartender that you want a separate bill. The girls who are sincere and who genuinely like you and would go home with you, will be willing to pay for themselves.

Daygame

Helsinki is a small city. Thus you won’t find that many girls walking around all the time outside during the day. This varies depending on the time of day. There may be fewer women to approach, but their open and friendly attitudes make it a good daygame destination nevertheless.

There are not that many touristic things to do in this city. However simply doing a few approaches in Helsinki, will give you a good buzz and state from experiencing the friendly local culture. This by itself makes Helsinki worth visiting for more than only a day or two.

Central Helsinki is the best option for Daygame. Especially around the train and bus station. The suburbs and most outside neighborhoods (like Töölö and Kallio) may at times be too quiet for serious daygamers. It makes light and day difference whether you stay central, or on the outskirts.

Nightgame

During nightgame, it’s helpful to have a wing to keep yourself entertained between approaches. Otherwise, meet friends on the Couchsurfing Hangouts app, while standing in line to the club, or wherever you are partying. It definitely helps with self-amusement and getting out of your own head. Especially if you are partying sober and looking for that social high. Also, read the nightgame pull field report (while gaming with the Couchsurfing Hangouts Wingman).

The dress code for the clubs is smart casual. This can include jeans, smart casual shoes, plus either a smart casual T-shirt or a shirt. During the winter you should have a really warm rain-proof jacket for the freezing weather, which you can store in the club or bar’s cloakroom.

Helsinki Nightlife Options

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights were quiet. While Saturdays were busier than Fridays. There is no face control.

On Wednesday, there was some after-work party in the bar right next to “Bier Bier”.

On Thursdays, Kaarle is the best option, There is a good mix of older and younger women. I wouldn’t go before 10 pm though. It’s also decent sometimes on Saturdays. Close to Kaarle, there is Karaokebar Erottaja. It’s a small bar, but with a few street game options down the road in front and in the small outside smoking area.

Milliklubi is a very straightforward club, with a low entrance fee. It’s decent every night from Wednesday to Saturday. There are a wide variety of women – older and younger. It’s not deafeningly noisy inside – there are quieter sections as well. This is good for having conversations. Low noise chill areas are normal in most of Helsinki’s clubs.

Club Aussie bar (Vilhonkatu Street) has a younger crowd. But the lower age limit was 21 on a Saturday night. It wasn’t that busy with not that many sets to approach. It’s not the best club. The entrance fee was 10 euro on Saturday (less on a Friday).

Molly Malone Irish bar has three large rooms. It was not that busy, I did 3 or 4 approaches. There weren’t more sets when I visited.

Maxine Club has a nice view in the top floor of a building. There’s Karaoke and a dance floor. It’s nothing special, and not worth 12 euros. It looked like the most multi-cultural option out of all the clubs I visited in Helsinki.

Skohan is one of those clubs that gets the worst reviews, yet many people still go there. Haven’t been there myself.

At the Karaoke bars, try to sing along to the Finnish music. These bars, e.g. Jone’s Karaoke, are usually small, with low entrance fees (like 3 euros). You’ll meet 2 or 3 girls, but its more for socializing with friends.

There are of course many other bars and clubs as well, apart from the above.

Online Game

Online is the same as elsewhere, except you’ll find more kinky girls. However, you’ll also find conservative girls who you can screen out to avoid wasting time with wrong expectations.

The kinky extreme are Finnish girls who would e.g. partake in BDSM Bondage classes. On the other hand, the prudish extreme won’t be keen to date travelers that much. They want a local Finnish boyfriend.

As far as specific dating apps are concerned, there’s obviously, as always, Tinder. Otherwise, Victoria Milan is another option for dating in European Cities. Simply type e.g. “Helsinki” into location, and see if you like the look of the local girls. Maybe even test the waters with an online conversation or two. Then organize a Finnish date before you even show up in the country (or make her fly to you instead).

The All-Rounder

In cricket, they have the concept of the all-rounder. This is someone who can bat as well as they can bowl (while usually also being good out in the fields). I consider myself to be an All-rounder in the field of seduction. Thus, I’m good in day-, night- and online game. If one of these lags behind at some point, I devote more time to address that specific format of my game. And so, I’ve pulled from online, day-, and nightgame in Helsinki. Thus, I can attest that all three forms of game are good options in this city.

Where to Stay in Helsinki

The best place to stay is right in the center of Helsinki. I stayed in Diana park Hostel which has the best location. The suburbs are quiet and boring, and it’s irritating to take the tram to the center. The next best option close to the center is Eurohostel in Katajanokka. It’s a very decent lodging with only 2 beds per room. Even though it lacks a more social atmosphere – who cares… considering the awesome daygame potential close by.

Since almost all the women in Helsinki live on their own in Apartments, you should feel 100% free to stay in hostels. You can always take the girl home to her apartment after a date or nightgame pull.

Conclusion

So the Finnish women have almost no bitch shield, does this mean you should move to Helsinki? Naah. Everything still depends on the level of your game. If you’re not getting laid at home, you won’t get laid in Helsinki. Likewise, if you have results in your home country, you’ll also get results there. Its a basic law of travel game: No matter where you are, you still need good game to get results.

Some guys who visit Helsinki end up missing the more bitchy girls back home. I don’t think I’ll be one of them, but if I can meet girls equally easily in any other city or country, be it Armenia, Buenos Aires, Myanmar, or South Africa (since I have good game), then I’m not going to stay in Helsinki simply because the women are (a) less prudish, (b) less bitchy, (c) more kinky, and (d) sexual. If I needed to, I’d rather simply up my standard of game.

Other Info

Tampere, Finland’s second largest city, was boring in the week. However, it could be interesting to go clubbing there over the weekend. Most of the action is right alongside the long, central main road. Daygame was very quiet since it’s a smallish city.

While visiting Helsinki, definitely also take a ferry to Tallinn (capital of Estonia) to check it out for one or two days. It has a few good nightlife options and attractive girls.

Lastly, get your local, unlimited data Cellular Simcard, as well as your Transport Tram card at any R-Kioski branch.
