The Nice Guy’s Guide to Meeting Women in Malta

The country of Malta consists of three separate islands, situated between Tunisia and Italy. Everyone speaks English, while locals also speak Maltese (a language which draws heavily from ancient Arabic dialects). Similarly, the cuisine, the look of the women and the architecture, have influences from both continents as well. But of course, Malta is a predominantly Christian country, fitting in much better with Europe than with Arabia.

Malta Background Info

In Malta there seems to be a fair share of corruption and mafia activity (e.g. the slaying of journalist Daphne Galizia). It’s no idyllic paradise. Moreover, the Maltese Republic is smaller than you’d imagine – there are currently only 440000 inhabitants. Plus, there’s a lot of congestion in Malta. The roads tend to be narrow. While most prefer to live in the cool areas like Sliema or Paceville. Since it’s a tax haven, continuously developing new apartment buildings, the congestion will only increase.

I-gaming seems like the main industry in Malta due to tax incentives, apart from tourism. This includes sports betting, and online gambling. You’ll notice many Maltese girls work for these companies on their Tinder bios.

In Summer vacation, its swarming with attractive tourist girls. But the downside is accommodation costs will be very expensive in high season, unless you stay in a hostel. Most tourists go to the main island, where the airport and nightlife are situated. You could also check out Gozo island to the north, for the sake of taking some photos and exploring nature (not for partying).

Public transport is easy to use. Once you arrive at the airport, buy a bus card with unlimited travel for 7 days, otherwise have a few 1 or 2 euro coins handy for the ride.

Malta Women

Malta, of course, doesn’t only have Maltese women. You’ll meet all kinds of nationalities there, including Asian, Brazilian, Swedish and Italian. Most of these girls tend to be attractive more often than not.

After high season, a lot of the attractive girls leave, and it becomes a quiet small island. Boring unless you have some kind of business or career there.

Nevertheless, despite tourists leaving after Summer, local Maltese women can definitely also be sexy. They often have curly brown or black hair, with olive toned Mediterranean skin, and fit bodies. Although some will, inadvertently, be overweight (you can’t force everyone to work out).

Some of these girls can be conservative (e.g. not as much into anything casual), while others will be more liberal. I see Maltese women as more liberal than in Eastern Europe (but neither the wildest girls of the West). Either way, debates about this topic can sometimes lead to unnecessary limiting beliefs, so lets not get to deeply into it.

Daygame in Malta

In the touristic neighborhood of Paceville, you’re very likely to bump into tourists on holiday. Tourist girls are usually vacationing in a small group of friends – not on their own. While some of them visit Malta to take English lessons for a few weeks. You’ll also stumble upon girls from other EU countries, who are working in Malta.

Outside of tourist season, you’ll only walk into a cute girl during the daytime sporadically. There’s very few people outside during the week. The women work by day, but you can try after 5pm.

There’s a small congested beach in St Julians/Paceville: St Georges Bay. Not impossible to meet someone there, but also not the best place for game (maybe its better during Summer vacation). Generally, it seems Malta isn’t a great beach destination, unlike e.g. Barcelona, and the rest of Europe’s Mediterranean coastline. In Malta, some eager sun-seekers tan on the “rocky beaches” next to the coastline. You could also check out a place like Cafe Del Mar to chill during weekends at their pool. Then maybe meet a few cute girls there.

In the daytime, you’ll unfortunately notice many attractive girls walking with boyfriends, on vacation together. This of course doesn’t contribute to the daygame scene in any way.

Sliema is a more residential part of the island, a short bus ride from Paceville. There, you’ll meet a few local Maltese girls. Maybe one or two as well at The Point Shopping Mall (with some luck). Next, Valetta is the old town. I was there on a Sunday afternoon taking some photos. There wasn’t that much going on. Only a few small groups of tourist girls, who you can try to pick up along with your trusted wingman.

Nightgame in Malta

Normal clubbing is situated in the Paceville neighborhood. Yet there are separate open air clubbing areas in other parts of the island during Summer vacations. In neighborhoods like Sliema and Valetta, you’ll find bars instead of nightclubs.

There are a lot of sex and stripclubs in Paceville. Plus plenty of irritating promo girls trying to convince you to buy a stripshow. As a result, since its such a seedy area, women are less open to being approached in the walkway in front of these strip clubs. These sex tourist clubs draw a male crowd – thus there’s more men standing around than women in this area.

Ideally, they should set up a separate Red-light district for sex tourists in Malta, like they do in Amsterdam. Then, there should be another area with only legit nightclubs for regular tourists. This will contribute to a better vibe overall when trying to enjoy the nicer side of the nightlife.

It’s quite a young crowd in this area, some girls looked around 16. Others 18 or 20. Thus be careful of “Jailbait”.

There were one or two clubs where older girls were partying (e.g. 25 years+) (such as Hugo’s terrace next to the beach, which was full Saturday night, but rather empty in the week). Still, Malta is not the easiest place to do large volumes of approaches at night. Unless you go in Summer, when it will be flooding with tourists. During the rest of the year, being in your early 20s will work in your favor in this particular nightlife area. Otherwise it can at times feel like you’re gate-crashing a teenage party.

I can mention individual club names like Footloose or Havana, but go to St Georges Road, and you’ll see the clubs (and very chilled bars) for yourself. If I stayed longer in Malta I would’ve been able to drop a few more nightclub names. But I became bored after 3 or 4 days (since summer vacation was already over), and didn’t feel like prolonging my stay.

It’s best to game with a wing in Malta, otherwise you may get bored looking for new girls to talk to while you’re out. Mid-summer you could probably still go sarging solo at night with no problem.

Take note that nightlife is only really busy Saturdays and Fridays. In summer vacation, its probably very decent mid-week as well. The downside is that affordable central accommodation will be very hard to come by during high season (especially in Paceville).

There used to be a fun pub crawl in Paceville twice a week, starting at 9pm. This particular crawl was suspended for 2 years during the scamdemic. In 2023, its active again. Go check it out at GetYourGuide and make your reservation which you can cancel up to 24 hour before the crawl starts.

Meeting Maltese Girls Online

Tinder was fun in Malta. Its a good option even outside of high season. There were plenty of attractive women to swipe. Moreover, if you’re from a Western European background, there won’t be a culture clash with these girls as there may be in other places.

The fact that all Maltese girls speak English is another strength for online dating in Malta. And although they’re more traditional than e.g. in London or Paris, they’re not super conservative like in some parts of Eastern Europe or rural Russia. Who cares anyway since there are so many other nationalities e.g. Swedish, Russians, Ukrainians, and Italians to swipe as well.

In addition, give Victoria Milan a shot, for a web-based dating experience in Europe where it’s not only about swiping pics. Victoria Milan is coincidentally headquartered in Malta – likely for the tax benefits. If you wanna look further into this, their parent company is NextLove. Malta Final Thoughts

Malta is not a cheap place. Thus to live well and dine at the better local restaurants, you’ll need money. However, as I mentioned you may get bored living there, unless you have a job in Malta to keep you occupied. Otherwise, it may suit those who want a more tranquil lifestyle, away from mainland Europe. At least you’ll be well-connected with flights to wherever else you may want to go.

If you’re a retired millionaire, you can do a lot worse than Malta, especially if you have a luxury penthouse apartment somewhere central, where you can invite girls over. Plus, a car to drive around the island would be nice as well. And if you can afford the best food on the island, including seafood, then who’s gonna complain?

Rent may be cheaper in the Sliema neighborhood (the business and residential area), than in Paceville. But then you’d have to take a bus (or taxi) to Paceville during weekends to party.

So, in conclusion, there are much better countries to visit during the rest of the year to meet women. But in the middle of Summer vacation (around June/July/August) you’ll probably have a great time if you can afford to rent a nice central apartment, close to Paceville.
